There are some books of the Academy which are under press and there are some in the shape of manuscripts, and some are still being written, Tarikh-Banu-'Abbiis by Shah Mu'inuddin Nadvi is the third volume of 14 the history of Islam series.
For several decades past, the library has made systematic and sustained efforts to collect manuscripts in the various oriental languages studied in the university.
Muhammad Husain Azad, presented to the Orien- tal College Library his father's collection of 389 manuscripts (Arabic 58, Persian 320, Urdu I I), along with a much larger number of printed books .
