NS I THIS Farman is of much value inasmuch as it affords clear evidence of (1) the duties and functions of the Faujdar, (2) the nature of the Sarkar as an administrative division, and (3) the status of the office of Faujdar, under Mughal Government.
Now the Farman under review affords an illustration from actual administration to confirm exactly the views I have held concerning the duties, functions, and status of the Office of the Faujdar.
