چکیده:
هدف: این پژوهش به دنبال بررسی و مقایسه عزت نفس و سلامت روان و تعیین رابطه این متغیرها در نابینایان ورزشکار و غیرورزشکار 13 تا 30 سال شهرستان مشهد در سال 1389 میباشد.روش: در یک پژوهش زمینهای، از تمام افراد شرکتکننده در اولین المپیاد کشوری نابینایان شهرستان مشهد، 100 نفر با استفاده از روش نمونهگیری تصادفی ساده (59 ورزشکار و 41 غیرورزشکار) انتخاب شدند و پرسشنامههای سلامتعمومی و مقیاس عزت نفس روزنبرگ را تکمیل کردند. برای تجزیه و تحلیل دادهها از آزمونهای آماری یومنویتنی، tمستقل، ضریب همبستگی اسپیرمن و تحلیل رگرسیون استفاده شد. یافتهها: نتایج پژوهش حاضر نشان داد که بین عزت نفس و سلامت روان در نابینایان ورزشکار و غیرورزشکار تفاوت معنیداری وجود دارد (01/0 >P). در نابینایان ورزشکار، بین سلامت روان و خردهمقیاسهای اختلال در کارکرد اجتماعی و افسردگی با عزت نفس، رابطه منفی معنیداری مشاهده شد (01/0 >P)، اما بین نشانههای جسمانی و اضطراب با عزت نفس، رابطه معنیداری بدست نیامد. همچنین،در گروه غیرورزشکار، بین سلامت روان و خردهمقیاسهای آن با عزت نفس رابطه معنیداری وجود نداشت. تحلیل رگرسیون نیز نشان داد که در گروه ورزشکار، اختلال در کارکرد اجتماعی پیشبینیکننده مناسبی برای عزت نفس میباشد. نتیجهگیری: این پژوهش نقش مهم ورزش در بهبود عزت نفس و سلامت روان در نابینایان ورزشکار را نشان میدهد. بنابراین، برای ارتقای متغیرهای روانشناختی در افراد نابینا، ترغیب و تشویق آنها به انجام دادن فعالیتهای ورزشی مهم بهنظر میرسد.
Objective: The purpose of this research was to study and compare self-esteem and mental health in blind athletes and non-athletes.
Method: in this contextual study، 100 individuals (59 blind athletes and 41 non-athletes) from first national sport Olympiad of Mashhad female and male participants were selected randomly and GHQ and Rosenberg's Self- Esteem Scale were used. For data analyses، Mann-Whitney U، t-test، spearman correlation coefficient and regression analysis were used.
Results: there were significant differences between two groups in self-esteem and mental health (P>0.01). Also، there was significant relationship among mental health، social dysfunction and depression subscales of them negatively (P>0.01). But، physical symptoms and anxiety had no significant relationship to self-esteem. Also، there was not significant relationship in self-esteem and mental health of non-athlete group. Regression analysis indicated that social dysfunction could predict self-esteem significantly.
Conclusion: The results of this studyconfirmed the significant role of exercise on self-esteem and mental health promotion in blindathletes. Therefore، it seems important to encourage blind persons to physical activity for reinforcement of their psychological traits.
