The aim of this study was to investigate the predictive role of biological and psychological factors in the sexual health
of menopausal women considering the mediating role of psychological factors. It is a descriptive study and is based on the Lex model .307 menopausal women living in Tehran between 2014 and 2015 were selected through purposeful sampling method and then were investigated. The instruments of this study included ENRICH marital satisfaction questionnaire, Beck self-concept scale, Bem's
gender schemas questionnaire, Sherer's self-efficacy questionnaire, Amz's Narcissistic personality inventory, quality of object relations inventory, Brief Index of Sexual Functioning for Women (BISF-W), and checklist of menopause symptoms . Results suggested that the cultural factors had a direct effect on the sexual health. In addition, biological and psychological factors could predict the sexual health directly or indirectly (with the mediating role of the cultural factors) .Furthermore, findings showed that
in this model the psychological factors had a stronger role than the biological factors to predict the sexual health. Results showed that this model was acceptable for explaining the sexual health in menopausal women.
