If everyone is to be mistaken in a society, and there is no supervision and critique of their activities, then it will not be long before that society is falling and destructing. Therefore, criticism is necessary for the growth and excellence of society. Imams (as) as leaders of the community have always paid attention to this matter. For example, in the Alavie’s government, Imam Ali (AS) criticized his supporters and opponents as a caring and aware leader in various positions. The main question in this research is to investigate the subject of critique, its place and its way in the Alavi society, especially the fair critique of the enemies. Answer to this question can be a positive and useful step in preventing conflicts in society. This paper wants to go through the concept of critique, and examines the style of critique in Nahj al-Balaghah from the point of view of audience and critical method. Due to the fact that a proper and appropriate critique is applicable to the suitable principles and framework, it is also addressed. The research methodology is descriptive-analytical, which is based on the studies of religious sources especially Nahj al-Balaghah and the findings of contemporary science. Also, the number of sermons and their descriptions are based on the description of Nahj al-Balaghah by Ibn Ma’tham Bahrani.
