The purpose of this study was to compare the effectiveness of quality of life Therapy and dialectical behavior therapy training techniques on the loneliness of female undergraduate psychology students of Islamic Azad University, Tabriz Branch, who were addicted to smartphones. In this quasi-experimental study, after administering the questionnaires, among the students whose scores on the Smart Phone Addiction Scale (SAS) were two standard deviations and on the scale of loneliness of Asher et al one standard deviation was higher than the average, 45 people were purposefully selected and randomly assigned to two experimental groups and one control group. They were replaced in two experimental and one control group. The number of subjects in all three groups was 15. Subjects in the first and second groups received 8 sessions of two hours training on quality of life therapy and dialectical behavioral therapy on but the control group received no training. At the last session, the questionnaires were again administered to all three groups. After three months of post-test, a loneliness questionnaire was administered again to all subjects to determine the effects of training techniques over time. The results of univariate analysis of covariance showed that training in quality of life techniques based on dialectical behavior therapy was effective in reducing loneliness (p < 0/01). The results of one-way analysis of variance also showed that the effectiveness of quality of life therapy techniques training was maintained in 3-month follow-up (p < 0/01). it
