چکیده:
حضور واژهی «نَفْس» و مشتقاتش در شاخههای زبان سامی و کاربرد متعددش در قرآن و عهدین، نشان از قدمت و اهمیت آن دارد که پژوهش دربارۀ آن بایسته است. ساختار واژه در شاخههای شمال شرقی و شمال غربی «ن پ ش» و در شاخههای جنوبی «ن ف س» است که نشان از تحول آن در فرایند انتقال از شاخهای به شاخهی دیگر دارد. پژوهش حاضر با روش تاریخی تطبیقی به تبارشناسی این واژه در زبانهای سامی و بررسی کاربرد مصادیق و معانی آن در قرآن و عهدین و ارائه موارد اشتراک و افتراق آن ، پرداختهاست. شواهد نشان میدهد که وجوه اشتراک در ساختار و معنا به مراتب بیشتر از افتراق است. واژه در برخی از شاخهها توسعهی معنایی بیشتری داشته که این گسترش در قرآن و عهدین نیز مشهود است. «استراحت کردن» و « حیات» دو معنای مشترک واژه در تمامی شاخهها است و معانی متعدد دیگر از این دو معنا گسترش یافتهاند. معانی واژه بعد از توسعهی معنایی در تمامی شاخهها بیشتر ناظر بر مسائل ماورائی، چون خداوند، روح و جان است. برخی از واژه پژوهان زبان عربی به ارتباط این واژه با واژهی «نَفَس» پرداختهاند در حالی که این موضوع در شاخههای دیگر زبان سامی وجود ندارد.
The presence of the word "nafs" and its derivatives in the branches of the Semitic language and its numerous uses in the Qur'an and the Old testament and New testament indicate its ancientness and importance. the present study deals with the genealogy of the word "nafs" in Semitic languages with a comparative historical method. In the research process, the commonalities and differences have been identified and its uses and examples have been presented in the Qur'an and the Old testament and New testament. evidence shows that the commonalities in structure and meaning are far greater than the differences. the word has more semantic development in some branches and this is evident in the Qur'an and the Bible. Its central meanings in these books refer to transcendental issues such as God, soul and spirit. the word (NFS) has retained its original meaning in the branches of the Semitic language and found new and various meanings under the influence of the culture of each region. probably at the beginning (NFS) it meant expansion and the other meanings were developed based on this principle.the existence of this meaning in the Akkadian language, which is older, can confirm this possibility.nafs means the essence of God is the highest meaning used only by the Qur'an. Of course, it was also mentioned as a reflective pronoun for God in the Old Testament.
