The aim of this study was to investigate the mediating role of self-efficacy in the relationship between emotional regulation and psychological cohesion among patients with diabetes in Ghaemshahr. This research has been correlational and specifically based on path analysis. For this purpose, a sample of 100 subjects was selected from the diabetic patients present in ghaemshahr diabetes association in 1396-97 by available sampling method. The tools used in this study were: standard diabetes self-efficacy questionnaire, emotional cognitive regulation questionnaire and sense of coherence questionnaire. To analyze the results, Pearson correlation and path analysis based on structural equation modeling were used. The results of Pearson correlation showed that there is a relationship between positive and negative strategies of emotion regulation and self-efficacy. There is also a significant relationship between self-efficacy and a sense of cohesion. diabetes self-efficacy also mediated the relationship between cognitive emotion regulation and sense of coherence this hypothesis was performed through path analysis based on structural equations, which confirmed the resulting model. The current model 41 /. Thepercentage of changes in patients' sense of cohesion was explained by three variables.
