چکیده:
Post-traumatic stress disorder is one of the common, chronic, and disabling disorders. The present study was conducted to determine the psychometric properties of the Persian version of the PTSD Checklist for DSM-5 (PCL-5). The research method is descriptive and correlational. The sampling method was convenience sampling, the initial sample included 201 people, and the final sample, considering valid questionnaires, included 157 citizens of Tehran who had experienced unbearable stress and responded to the Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC) and the Mississippi Scale for Posttraumatic Mental Distress (MCCP) from May to September 2017. The results of exploratory factor analysis showed that PCL-5 has a five-factor structure in Iranian culture. The internal consistency of the scale is high, and Cronbach's alpha is 0.92. A significant correlation between the scores of this scale and the scores of MCCP indicates desirable convergent validity (0.74), and with resilience scores indicates desirable divergent validity (0.46). PCL-5, as a fully compatible tool with DSM-5, can be very helpful for specialists in the field of assessing post-traumatic stress disorder.

Tools Posttraumatic Stress Disorder Checklist (5-PCL): This is a 20-item self-report tool that is fully consistent with the diagnostic criteria for PTSD based on 5-DSM.
5-PCL consists of four scales: intrusion (Criterion B), avoidance (Criterion C), negative alterations in mood (Criterion D), and hyperarousal (Criterion E), which are based on the symptom clusters of PTSD in 5-DSM.
