Sola and colleagues (2007) showed that the rheological disturbances (fibrinogen and plasma viscosity) seem to be associated with insulin resistance and the metabolic syndrome in obese patients (1). The aim of this study was to assess the effect of 4 weeks of combined analyzed sit-up and walking training with two different volumes on fibrinogen, plasma viscosity and insulin resistance index (HOMA-IR) in college, young men. CONCLUSION In conclusion, 4 weeks of combined sit-up and walking training lead to a reduction fibrinogen and plasma viscosity, but has no remarkable effect on insulin resistance index.
