INTRODUCTION

Optimal motor-skills should be‌ set as a goal for all of the children so that they can have‌ a higher degree of control‌ over‌ their lives. In order for a child to perform a series of exercises, they need cognitive and mental planning without which they would not be able to perform those exercises. Physical activities have‌ a significant role in coordinating of movements and growing skillful in movements (۱). A case in point is rope-jumping which is included in the primary school's grade four curriculum as a subject. Exercises using‌ ropes‌ contribute to improving muscular power, cardiovascular health, balance, agility, and coordination (2).

METHOD

The statistical population of the research included all of the grade four students of Shahr-e- Ghods. Via cluster‌ sampling‌, 120 male and female students were randomly selected and had their exercises in two groups of 60 students (trained and non-trained). Their age range was 9.8 ± 0.4. In order to‌ calculate‌ the motor skills score, a group of seven trained scorers were invited to use short version of Bruininks-oseretsky test (1978).
