The debate over religious science or the Islamization of sciences in the Islamic world is one of the important issues in the field of humanities that has occupied the minds of many thinkers and philosophers in the realm of science and religion in recent decades. Therefore, researching the foundations and epistemological and methodological principles of the views presented in the field of religious science is one of the essential needs of thinkers in the fields of humanities and social sciences. The crises resulting from scientism and the excess in theories regarding the conflict between science and religion in the last two centuries, the questioning of the cooperation between science and religion, and consequently the possibility of religious science and theism, have been subject to reflection. In this regard, the previous history of Islamic nations and the reality of their current backwardness has seriously raised the question of the Islamization of sciences for Islamic thinkers. Considering the specific emphases of the religion of Islam on the high status of science and knowledge, the brilliant scientific history of Muslims in past centuries and the Golden Age of Islam, they pursue the question of Islamic science with great seriousness. Various theories have also been presented by thinkers of the Islamic world over the past two centuries, each addressing the Islamization of science from their own perspective. In this regard, Dr. Nasr, by critiquing modernity and challenging modernism, has identified returning to tradition and the revival of sacred science as his proposed solution. The importance of Dr. Nasr's view lies in his special emphasis on traditionalism and the use of Islamic teachings and traditional metaphysics to revive the sacred sciences.

Nasr, whose name evokes the revival of tradition, eternal wisdom, and the transcendent unity of religions, is one of the prominent thinkers of Islamic Iran, who, given his mastery of the sources of Iranian Islamic wisdom, Eastern wisdom, and complete familiarity with the philosophy and sciences of Western civilization in various fields of science and knowledge and the revival of Islamic culture and tradition, has made remarkable efforts in this field, including lecturing and writing books and articles.
Some of his most important works in which his viewpoints' foundations can be found include: The Need for Sacred Science, Knowledge and Spirituality; Islam and the Constraints of Modern Man; Religion and the System of Nature; and Muslim Youth and the Modern World.
The importance of Nasr's perspective in presenting sacred science among the thinkers of the Islamic world is due to his scientific defense and mastery of Islamic and Eastern wisdom sources; thus, he can be considered one of the pioneers of proposing the Islamic movement of making sciences with a religious and philosophical approach.
He also considers the revival of a sacred attitude toward nature possible only from the perspective of religion and believes that at this stage of human history, solving this crisis does not require the gathering of all religions and providing a religious solution at the moral and intellectual level (see: Nasr, 1389, p.
Now, given the explanation of the foundations of Nasr's views, namely the problems of modern science and the characteristics of tradition, the importance of the need for sacred science can be justified from his perspective.
