Various political, ideological and military turbulences and conflicts of various Islamic
sects and religions are assumed as evident specifications of history of Islam that its
extensive consequences were reflected in the Islamic knowledge and studies. “Malahem
and Fatan” is one of illustrative examples of these studies in the Islamic narrative sciences
context. They claimed that using the contents of verses and hadithes are able to present
predictive narrations of future events and news. Alfatan Book of Naim Ibn Hammad,
with the subject of multiple intrigues is assumed as one of these works. In this paper,
in addition to critical study on three narrations of this book about intrigues after demise
of prophet, validity of these narrations are assessed to specify the historical and citation
validity thereof by internal and external criticism. This assessment was provided relying on
the critical historical view and analysis of narrations, Rijal’ books and use of internal and
external criticism of respective narrations. Summary of results indicated that the respective
narrations in terms of internal and external criticism have no required reliability as historical
narrations and difficultly may be accepted as reasonable and reliable narrations.
