Manichaeism was an Iranian religion that defined its prophecy behind its linguistic
and ethnic origins. Therefore, in different historical periods, under the influence of
political, economic and cultural factors, Manichaeism transcended the borders and
moved towards new lands. Transoxiana and Turkestan were regions where accepted
Manichaeism. In some parts of history, these regions had an important role in the religion
and politics. The present article, through a descriptive- explanatory method and based
on the library resources, will examine the process and consequences of Manichaeism in
these areas. According to this paper’s achievements, Manichaeism was initially entered
the territory of Turkestan and Transoxiana by missionaries and then, under the political
auspices of the Uighur Empire, it spread in Turkestan and even China. Manichaeism
managed to acquire a noticeable political and cultural position there. Finally, After the
Uighur Empire was defeated by the Muslim Turks of Kyrgyz in 3 AH/ 9 AD, Manichaeism
gradually disappeared from Turkestan and Transoxiana.
