The present study has identified and applied the semantic domains of expressions of expressions of misinterpretation in the original and translation of Natur Dasht novel. Another goal is to identify the strategies used by the translator in equating inputs. For this purpose, the novel, which contains many examples of misinterpretation in the first-person narrative of the adolescent narrator, was selected and studied to first determine the semantic domains of examples of misinterpretation, then a comparison between its manifestations in the original work and a Persian translation by Najafi. With the focus on these areas. In the study of the novel, six semantic domains of misinterpretation were extracted in English (physical evacuation, sexual issues, religion, animals, madness and mental retardation, filth) and in the later stages of the research, their inclusions in the original and reversal of the work were identified and compared. The three domains of religion, insanity, and sexuality accounted for about 85% of all misunderstandings, respectively. In connection with the translation strategies used by the translator, deletion, uniform transfer of instances of semantic domains, different transfer of instances of semantic domains, conversion of instances of severe misinterpretation to mild, and conversion of instances of misinterpretation to expressions of good interpretation, had many occurrences. Findings of such research can help advance studies and mostly rare misinterpretations / misinterpretations at the level of different languages.
