This research aims opening the gates of Molavi’s mysterious world in Masnavi-ye-Ma’navi, relying on Paul Ricoeur’s Hermeneutic and discourse indices of writing. The authors, despite of the traditional view in which believing in a language’s state, whether speech or writing, determines only its mediation, believe that the proper moment of challenge between speech and written discourse is determined by hermeneutic discourse because hermeneutics is text-oriented. Therefore, examining the process of text formation and the quintet relationship between media, author, audience, codes and referring is necessary to judge about the state of Masnavi, including: speech or writing. Thus, examining the models of discourse in Masnavi as writing and comparing it with Hermeneutic theory of Paul Ricoeur show that Molana’s narration, the writing of Hesamoddin and other nobles, speech attraction, subject segmentation, the presence of colloquial elements in the speech, its lecture characteristics and so on, are not the acceptable reasons for the speech state of Masnavi’s language; because this tracheal encyclopedia is narrated based on speech (meaning) and time and its counsellor level points to Hermeneutic as the heavier pan of the scale.
