doubting the materiality of perceptions, based on the problem of explanatory gap, provides a rational basis for criticizing ibn sina's arguments regarding the refusal to abstract abstract perceptions and to prove the possibility but also the necessity of abstracting different types of perceptions. the materialist conception of perception is a partial sensory and imaginary part of ibn sina's views on the ontology of perception. ibn sina, by giving reasons for refusing to abstain from partial perceptual experiences, considers the only possible state of these experiences to be their materiality. on the other hand, the possibility of a possible world in which a metaphysical state such as pain can be imagined without the presence of a neural process makes it possible to distinguish between a mental state and a neural process. this explanatory gap between the mental state and the neural process, by denying the similarity between the two phenomena, makes it possible for perception to be abstract and immaterial. given the distinction between the physical and metaphysical aspects and the necessity of the abstraction of perception for various philosophical arguments, the materialism of partial perception is controversial, and sadra's view based on the abstraction of sensory and imaginary perception as well as rational perception offers a more comprehensive explanation of perception and soul. the main question of this article is the ontological what is partial perceptions, which is under the big question of how the soul and the body relate to the perception process.
