Revolution means the transformation of the political order, an action that overthrows all the institutions of the past and is dependent on the former order, and replaces the old relations with a new order. From the point of view of Iranian Marxists, the concept of revolution is formulated on the basis of the ideas of Heraclitus, Marx and Lenin, the understanding summed up in matter and all that transformative force that undergoes fundamental change in the ruling order is matter. The Marxist current's understanding of the concept of revolution is very different from other political activists' understanding of the concept of revolution due to the difference in its intellectual roots. The point of difference between Marxist ideas in the 1940s and 1950s compared to revolutionary Islamists can be understood in their understanding of the concept of revolution and in terms of the different principles of each of the two currents. As much as the Islamist movement avoids materially defining change in this world, Iranian Marxists, because of their epistemological foundations, cite matter as the source of change in society. Hypothesis of this article; The Iranian Marxist movement, in particular the People's Fedayeen Guerrillas and the Tudeh Party, sought to understand the concept of revolution in Iran based on the teachings of Marx and Lenin, which had been expressed about changing the conditions of society.
