Mythological-sociological reading of texts is a method by which the mythical roots of some sociological concepts can be revealed. Kelileh and Demneh is one of the joint literary and cultural works of India and Iran, many of which are based on the Aryan thought of the mentioned tribes. In the present article, the author has studied and analyzed the issue of social stratification on the subject of on "Lion and Cow and the Investigation of Demneh" based on a myth-sociological critique. Georges Dumezil argues that classification among Indo-European peoples was one of the main structures for social order and Kingsley Davis and Wilbert Moore share this view in their sociological studies. The analysis of the mentioned chapters of Kelileh and Demneh to these two mythological and sociological theories shows that the structure of the story of the lion and the cow corresponds to the class structure of Indo-European societies; a class structure that in no way tolerates class mobility, and those who practice class mobility will have no choice but to resign and be destroyed. In the studied chapters, Demneh, the factor of failed class mobility, kelileh, the defender and the acceptor of stratification as an undeniable fact, the lion, the mother lion, and the leopard, which belong to the aristocracy, are the guardians of the stratification as a regulating structure. The stratification in these chapters is another form of the threefold actions of the myths of Indo-European societies, which has itself led to the formation of social classes in these societies.
