خلاصة:
Innovation, as one of the most important factors for the survival and growth of organizations, requires a precise understanding of the individual and psychological mechanisms that facilitate the emergence of innovative behaviors. In this regard, proactive personality, as an individual's tendency to play an active role in changing the environment, and sense of power, as the subjective perception of the ability to influence others, were two key constructs in this study. This research was conducted with the aim of explaining the role of proactive personality in promoting the innovative behavior of employees, considering the mediating role of sense of power in knowledge-based companies located in the Kurdistan Science and Technology Park. The research method was descriptive-correlational and categorized as applied research. Data were collected using standard questionnaires for proactive personality (Parker, 1998), sense of power (Anderson et al., 2012), and innovative behavior (Janssen, 2001). The statistical population included all employees of knowledge-based companies in the Kurdistan Science and Technology Park, and a sample size of 169 was determined using the Cochran formula. Data analysis was performed using SPSS version 26 software, and structural equation modeling based on partial least squares was conducted in SmartPLS version 3 software. The findings showed that proactive personality has a positive and significant relationship with sense of power and innovative behavior, and sense of power also directly affects innovative behavior. Furthermore, the mediation analysis results indicated that sense of power plays a significant partial mediating role in the relationship between proactive personality and innovative behavior. The overall model fit indices (SRMR=0.043 and NFI=0.896) also indicated a desirable fit for the research model.
Based on the results, it can be inferred that fostering proactive characteristics in employees and strengthening their sense of power provides an effective path for promoting innovative behavior in knowledge-based companies.
