The relationship between marital satisfaction and sexual satisfaction with the mental health of couples in Semnan city مقالة

Bachelor of Psychology, Payame Noor University, Semnan, Iran Abstract The purpose of the present study is to investigate the relationship between marital satisfaction and sexual satisfaction with the mental health of couples in Semnan city. To achieve this goal, a sample consisting of 150 people was selected using the convenience sampling method for this research, and they completed the Mental Health Questionnaire, the Sexual Satisfaction Questionnaire, and the Afrouz Marital Satisfaction Scale. Finally, the results showed that there is a significant positive relationship between marital satisfaction and sexual satisfaction with the mental health of couples in Semnan city. Mental health is widely considered as happiness, optimal performance, and 12 maximizing potential, 13 including the ability to adapt 14 to change, based on personal beliefs, 15 managing emotions, 16 creating meaningful relationships 17 and finding a goal in life 18 (Mitchell, 19 Reason, 20 Hemer 21 and Finley, 22 2016). Therefore, considering the interpretations available in the present research, we aim to investigate the relationship between marital satisfaction and sexual satisfaction with the mental health of couples in the city of Semnan. Therefore, since the present research aims to investigate the relationship between marital satisfaction and sexual satisfaction with the mental health of couples in the city of Semnan, it is a descriptive-correlational type and is fundamental in terms of its objective. Internal consistency coffecient Analysis: Research Hypothesis: There is a relationship between marital satisfaction and sexual satisfaction with the mental health of couples in Semnan city.
