یعتبر موضوع التدخل الحکومی فی وضع اللوائح التنظیمیة ومراقبة السوق أحد القضایا المهمة فی مجال الاقتصاد الذی یقترن برأیین رئیسیین فی الجواز والمنع. تبرر وجهة نظر المصلحة العامة هذا التدخل وتلزم الحکومة بالتدخل فی حالة فشل السوق بسبب عوامل مثل الإنحصار. فی النصوص الفقهیة، نوقشت مسألة تدخل الحکومة فی السوق تحت عنوانَی «الاحتکار» و«التسعیر». والفقهاء، باتباع هذا الروایات، وعلى الرغم من اختلاف الآراء حول إذن الحکومة فی التسعیر، یسمحون عمومًا للحکومة بالتدخل فی حالة فشل السوق وعدم کفاءته. تحاول هذه المقالة دراسة الموضوع من منظور نهجالبلاغة کمصدر سردی صحیح بمنهج متعدد التخصصات بین المجالین المعرفیین للاقتصاد والفقه وتبین أنه فی حالة فشل السوق، یلزم الإمام علی (ع) الحکومة بوضع اللوائح ومراقبة السوق بما یحقق المصلحة العامة فی سیاق العدالة المتوازنة
