چکیده:
ابن تیمیه از تأثیرگذارترین علمای اهل سنت است که دامنه تأثیر افکار او در جهان امروز کاملاً مشهود است.جریان های سلفی او را شیخ الاسلام نامیده اند و جریان وهابیت او را در قله عصمت تقدیس می نماید.وی ضمن برخورداری از هوش و حافظه قوی، تألیفات فراوانی را رقم زده و در مرقومات خود عقایدی بر خلاف اجماع مذاهب اسلامی ابراز نموده است. ریشه افکار و اعتقادات ابن تیمیه به نظرات ابن حنبل و بزرگان اهل حدیث بر می گردد. در بررسی آثار و در تحلیل مبانی فقهی ابن تیمیه به وضوح به انحرف کشیدن اصول اساسی اسلام از سوی وی پدیدار می گردد.باید خاطر نشان ساخت که تعارضات فکری ناشی از همین انحرافات، زمینه لازم تناقضات و اختلافات با سایر مذاهب اسلامی را پایه ریزی کرد. افکار انحرافی ابن تیمیه همچنین تأثیر زیادی در ایجاد تفرقه بین مسلمانان و زمینه سازی برای شکل گیری وهابیت داشت.او از جمله نادر علمائی بود که افکار و دیدگاههائی را مطرح کرد که مبنای محکم دینی و قرآنی نداشت، لذا در زمان خود با مخالفت آشکار و صریح اکثریت علمای سایر مذاهب اسلامی مواجه شد و حتی بعضی از علما حکم تکفیر و خروج از دین او را صادر کرده اند تا جائی که مدتی را به خاطر همین افکارش به دستور حکومت وقت زندانی شد.از جمله کسانی که فقط در زمان خودش از او حمایت کرد شاگردش ابن قیم بود که بعد از درگذشت او نیز نسبت به تنظیم تألیفات استادش تلاش زیادی انجام داد.

And the great people of Hadith return. In examining the works and in analyzing the jurisprudential principles of Ibn Taymiyyah, it is clear that he deviated from the basic principles of Islam. It should be noted that the intellectual conflicts resulting from these deviations laid the necessary ground for contradictions and differences with other Islamic religions. . Ibn Taymiyyah's deviant thoughts also had a great impact on creating divisions among Muslims and paving the way for the formation of Wahhabism. He was met with a clear majority of scholars of other Islamic religions, and some scholars even ordered him to be excommunicated and expelled from the religion, to the point that he was imprisoned for some time because of his thoughts by the government of the time. He supported his student Ibn al-Qayyim, who after his death also made great efforts to compile the writings of his teacher.
