This study aims to demonstrate the standards of constructing temporary shelters in arid regions with an environment-friendly approach. It also acknowledges humans’ inherent affection for nature and ecotourism, along with creating a soothing environment for tourists while maintaining the ecosystem. In this regard, the fundamental design indicators considered based on revisioning textbooks, and similar experiences have been extracted and presented. Cognition of appropriate figures and patterns of the shelter according to climate conditions, likewise, using applicable-recycling materials, is another goal of this project. This research adopted the descriptive-analytic method; the data was obtained with field research through questionaries and interviews. Some other necessary data, like the theoretical-conceptual framework of the study, documents, and census gathered by library research. The study’s statistical population consists of tour leaders and eco-tourists with more than two years of ecotourism experience in deserts because this is enough time to learn about all aspects of nature touring; the sample size in the AHP phase includes thirty experts in this field. The results show that using eco-friendly materials is the primary criterion and has the most significant impact on the environment and energy; the comfort of shelter is the second criterion that has the most significant impact on the energy and vitality of the eco-tourists. The third influential factor is the structure’s location, constructing an eco-friendly temporary shelter without destroying the ecosystem.
