چکیده:
The region of 'Bilad Shapur' was one of the important 'rustaqs' (districts) of 'Kura Qabadkhurra' (Arjan), which was considered one of the important provinces of Fars in the Sasanian and Islamic eras. This region, which became known as 'Bilad Shapur' due to the construction of a city by Shapur I in the Sasanian period, remained an important region with the same name (Bilad Shapur) until the Qajar period. The aim of the present research is to determine the border changes of the Bilad Shapur region and the process of their evolution during the Islamic period. This research has been conducted using a descriptive-analytical method based on library studies and systematic field investigations, and seeks to answer the following question: What changes have occurred in the political and administrative boundaries of the Bilad Shapur region from the early centuries of Islam to the Qajar period? The results show that the location and boundaries of the Bilad Shapur region have always been variable in the studied periods and have been transferred several times between the 'kuras' and provinces of Fars.

Therefore, sources from the early and middle Islamic centuries wrote about the location of the Bladshapur region near the Tab River and, from the north, bordered by Sardan and Isfahan, from the west by Khuzestan, and from the east and south by the regions of Fars and Arjan (Maps 2 and 3).
