Spousal murder is a crime in which a woman or man kills their spouse. In this crime, not only one of the spouses but in fact, the family should be considered the main victim of the criminal act. Because in addition to the perpetrator suffering psychologically until the legal punishment is carried out and experiencing severe torment, irreparable damage is inflicted on the heart and soul of the children of the family, leaving them hopeless and broken for life, and in some cases leading them towards deviation and committing crimes. Fars province is one of the provinces where the situation of spousal murder has been investigated by researchers at the Institute of Criminological Sciences and Criminology, and 18 out of 24 imprisoned men and women (11 women and 7 men) who were willing to cooperate were questioned to determine the factors and motives behind committing this crime.
