چکیده:
The activity of the hip muscles affects the movements of the distal region of the lower limb (ankle). This research was conducted to investigate the effect of six weeks of strength training program on the abductor and external rotator muscles of the thigh in correcting foot pronation. In this quasi-experimental study, 30 male subjects were purposefully selected (age 21.63 ± 2.07 years, weight 71.93 ± 7.62 kg, height 177.33 ± 7.52 cm, BMI 22.81 ± 0.99) who had increased foot pronation. Foot pronation was calculated by measuring the valgus angle of the heel. Individuals with an angle greater than 10 degrees were divided into two groups of 15 controls and experimental. Before starting the strength training protocol, the angle of foot pronation of the subjects and the strength of the abductor and external rotator muscles of the thigh were measured with a goniometer and a hand dynamometer, respectively. The experimental group performed a strength training protocol on the proximal region of the lower limb for six weeks, with a frequency of three sessions per week. The control group continued their usual activities. After completing the training protocol, muscle strength and foot pronation angle were measured again. Data analysis was performed using correlated and independent t-tests for intra-group and inter-group differences (p ≥ 0.005). The results showed that there was no significant difference between the experimental and control groups in the pre-test of foot pronation, but a significant difference was observed in the post-test. The results of the correlated t-test also showed a significant difference in the strength of the abductor and external rotator muscles and also foot pronation between the pre-test and post-test of the experimental group, while no significant difference was observed between the pre-test and post-test of the control group. The results of this research showed the effectiveness of a strength training program on the abductor and external rotator muscles of the thigh in reducing and correcting the abnormality of foot pronation.

This research was conducted to investigate the effect of six weeks of strength training program on the abductor and external rotator muscles of the hip in correcting pronated foot.
The results of this study showed the effectiveness of a strength training program on the abductor and external rotator muscles of the hip in reducing and correcting pronated foot deformity.
In 1 - Rearfoot 2 - Synder & et al 3 - Rear Foot Angle In fact, the movements that occur in the hip joint are among the effective factors contributing to the movements of the distal part of the lower limb (ankle) (17).
/ Figure 1- Measuring the pronation angle of the foot The isometric strength of the hip abductor muscles was calculated using a hand-held dynamometer, type (Lafayeette, USA), based on the method used by Ireland and colleagues.
/ Figure 5- Foot pronation angle in the control and experimental groups before and after the training program Discussion and Conclusion The purpose of the present study was to investigate the effectiveness of a strength training program on the abductor and external rotator muscles of the hip in correcting foot pronation.
The results of their study showed that increasing the strength of the hip abductor and external rotator muscles reduced the posterior angle of the foot (a measure of foot pronation), but this reduction was not significant.
and showed that using a strength training program for the hip abductor and external rotator muscles reduces and partially corrects foot pronation abnormality.
