Balance is one of the fundamental principles in children's learning, and a disorder in it can negatively affect learning. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of selected motor games on the balance of children with specific learning disabilities. This research is quasi-experimental in nature and, in terms of purpose, is applied, with a pre-test post-test control group design. In this study, 24 nine-year-old boys with specific learning disabilities in the city of Mashhad were selected and randomly assigned to experimental and control groups. The experimental group performed selected motor games for 20 sessions, each session lasting 30 minutes and repeated five days a week. The control group continued their normal daily activities during this period. Changes in the static balance of the subjects were measured before and after the training period using the stork test and the Sharpen Romberg test, and in dynamic balance using the heel-to-toe walking test and the timed stand and walk test. Analysis of variance with repeated measures was used for statistical analysis. The results of the research showed that selected motor games improve static and dynamic balance in the experimental group. All these changes were significant compared to the control group (P > 0.05). Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that selected motor games help improve static and dynamic balance in children with specific learning disabilities.

Results The present study showed that the selected motor games, considering the cognitive involvement that is created simultaneously with maintaining balance for the subject, helps to improve static and dynamic balance problems in children with specific learning disabilities, considering the activation of both hemispheres of the brain.
