چکیده:
The purpose of this research was to investigate the effect of the psychological readiness of athletes participating in the 10th National University Sports Olympiad on the rate of sports injuries among them. For this purpose, 375 individuals, divided into female (178) and male (197) groups, participated in this study. The participants were selected from seven sports disciplines, categorized as team and individual sports. Data was collected using a sports injury report form and the OMSAT-3 psychological readiness questionnaire. Descriptive statistics (such as mean and standard deviation) and Pearson correlation coefficient test at a 95% confidence level were used to analyze the data. Examining gender differences in the research variables showed that the highest rate of injury in female athletes was in the lower extremities, while in male athletes, the upper extremities had the highest prevalence of injury. Furthermore, there was no significant difference between male and female athletes in the three categories of psychological skills. The results indicated that in female athletes, there was a significant negative correlation between cognitive skills and the rate of injury in the lower extremities (r=0.15). A significant negative correlation was also observed between cognitive skills and the prevalence of injuries in bones and joints (r=0.03 and r=0.046). However, in male athletes, there was no significant correlation between psychological skills and injury in limbs and different parts of the body. In general, the findings of this research indicate that possessing a high level of cognitive skills (such as game planning) helps athletes better cope with various situations that occur in sports. This phenomenon can play an important role in reducing the occurrence of sports injuries. Therefore, coaches and sports specialists for youth are advised to strive to improve cognitive skills in young athletes to reduce the likelihood of sports injuries in them. Overall, the results of this research support various aspects of the stress-injury model.

Master's Student, University of Tehran Abstract {IBThe purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of athletes' psychological readiness participating in the 10th National University Sports Olympiad on the rate of sports injuries in them.
The present research is designed to investigate the relationship between psychological skills and the incidence of sports injuries in students participating in the tenth National University Sports Olympiad.
Moreover, considering that previous research (36) has not investigated gender differences in the level of psychological skills and its relationship with the prevalence of sports injuries, this research addressed the differences between male and female athletes in this regard.
Norbakhsh (1389) also showed in a study on participants in the fifth National University Sports Olympiad that there was a significant difference between students of team and individual sports in terms of various psychological characteristics (10).
However, the main objective of this research was to investigate the relationship between psychological skills and the incidence of injury in the limbs and different parts of the body of athletes participating in the Student Olympiad.
Focus and refocusing are among the cognitive skills assessed in the 3-TASMO questionnaire and had a positive impact on reducing the incidence of sports injuries in female athletes in the present study.
The results of the present study show that female athletes participating in the National Student Olympiad had a high level of concentration during training and competition, which may be due to the low level of stressful events in the team's training camp, and its effect can be observed in reducing the incidence of sports injuries in girls.
