چکیده:
Discussions related to women, gender identity, its formation and changes are among the areas that have expanded significantly in academic and socio-political circles in recent years. This is largely a reflection of the transformation in social life itself, which has led to a new look at pre-established differences between identity and behavioral patterns of women and men. Developments in communication and cyberspace in recent decades have transformed the social roles and awareness of women. Increased education of women and their participation in income-generating activities, on the one hand, reduce the desirability of the traditional female pattern, and on the other hand, make it difficult to reconcile traditional and old roles with new roles, and can lead to identity conflict among women. In this article, we try to study the effects of cyberspace on the identity of women in Iran (case study of female students at the University of Tehran). Therefore, we are looking for an answer to the question of how much interaction in cyberspace has influenced the identity of women in Iran? In this regard, the main argument of this article is that interaction in cyberspace has caused Iranian women to move away from their traditional identities. It should be noted that the method used in this research is descriptive-analytical based on survey information.

The Internet, due to the social interaction governing it, is able to create conditions that can, to some extent, be effective in organizing the path of people's interests and forming new identities, while, in general, it seems that the social foundations of identity have been radically transformed in cyberspace.
23 Therefore, considering the expansion of new technologies among our society, cyberspace has provided an environment accessible to everyone where information can be easily extracted, sent to others, images and videos can be viewed, and interaction can take place in a space that location has no ability to limit.
In the field method, to collect the required information - which in this research was the opinion of female students of Tehran University regarding the impact of cyberspace on women's identity - the "questionnaire" technique was used.
Sub-Hypotheses: It seems that there is a direct and significant relationship between the level of access to the Internet and each of the identity indicators of women (friendship, women's rights, women's news, membership in websites, fashion, creating blogs, sexual issues, job searching).
