چکیده:
The aim of this study was to determine the effect of eight weeks of corrective exercise on the plantar pressure distribution pattern of adolescents with genu varum. 12 boys aged 13 to 17 years with genu varum deformity were selected as the experimental group and 12 individuals without deformity were selected as the control group in this study. A plantar pressure measurement device was used to measure foot parameters during the stance phase of walking. The group with genu varum performed eight weeks of corrective exercise. Pre-test and post-test were taken at the beginning and end of the period. The collected data of the groups were analyzed using independent and correlated t-tests at a significance level of 0.05. The results of the pre-test showed that individuals with genu varum experienced greater maximum pressure in the area of the second to fifth toes compared to individuals in the control group (P=0.018). The center of foot pressure in the medial-lateral direction in these individuals is more supinated under the heel contact phase with the ground (P=0.049). Corrective exercises led to a reduction in maximum pressure in the area of the second to fifth toes in the experimental group (P=0.022), but no significant change was observed in the values of the center of foot pressure in the medial-lateral direction (P>0.005). According to the findings of the present study, it can be concluded that corrective movements improve the pressure distribution pattern of individuals with genu varum and improve the gait pattern.

The effect of eight weeks of corrective exercise on plantar foot pressure distribution in adolescents with bow legs during walking 1.
Master's degree, Bu Ali Sina University Abstract The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of eight weeks of corrective exercise on the plantar foot pressure distribution pattern in adolescents with bow legs.
Few studies have reported the positive role of corrective and therapeutic movements in reducing the severity of knee deformities such as bow legs (1), but the effectiveness of exercises on gait pattern has received less attention.
The objectives of the present study are: comparing plantar pressure variables in adolescents with bowlegs or varus knee and a normal peer group during the stance phase of walking, including three subphases (heel contact, mid-stance, and propulsion), and determining the effect of eight weeks of corrective exercise on changes in plantar pressure distribution parameters.
However, as the results of the present study showed, only the maximum foot pressure in the area of the second to fifth toes was higher in adolescents and young people with valgus knee abnormality compared to normal peers.
Therefore, more supination of the foot in individuals with valgus knees during the heel contact phase with the ground can reduce the ability to absorb shock and subsequently cause pain and osteoarthritis of the ankle-plantar joints.
