چکیده:
One of the theories that has been put forward regarding the relationship between reason and faith is strong rationalism. According to this view, human belief can never be devoid of reasoning. Strong rationalists are divided into two groups: atheists and theists. The second group believes that religious belief is completely reasonable and rational. Accordingly, Ayatollah Javadi-Amoli’s view on reason and faith can be considered a form of strong rationalism. The main elements of strong rationalism found in his works are as follows: A. An emphasis on the idea that faith and belief must be based on reason and evidence, distancing themselves from conjecture. B. A rejection of expedient fideism, which considers belief to be based on practical interests. C. The foundation of rational arguments on fundamentalism, meaning that belief must either be self-evident or derived from the self-evident. D. The notion that reason is inherently impartial and not based on prior biased assumptions; rather, truth can be discovered through reasoning and evidence. E. The claim that religious belief cannot rely on probabilistic reasoning; instead, the foundation of belief must rest on certain and demonstrable reasons.

Secondly, the essence of Clifford's words, who defended the theory of maximal rationalism, is that what he means by the rationality of belief and the ethics of belief is the necessity of basing belief on reason and argumentation, not actual universal acceptance (pp.
On the other hand, critical rationalists limit the value of reason to personal certainty, and this also destroys the foundation of the rationality of faith, because the rationality of faith and religious belief is based on reality, and reality can be proven with an argument that is persuasive to everyone; however, if the value of religious beliefs becomes dependent on individuals, anyone can claim an irrational belief and say that the belief was reassuring to them, whereas the discovery of reality must have universal validity and the capacity for public proof.
While with the above explanations, it became clear that the perspective of critical rationalism faces serious problems and that the fundamental requirement for the rationality of religious belief is the acceptance of maximal rationality, which is reflected in the views of Ayatollah Javadi Amoli.
Of course, this indifference toward faith and unbelief is due to the essence of reason and philosophy, but in the stage following research, rational proofs demonstrate the truthfulness of religious belief (Javadi Amoli, 2010, p.
