One of the main themes of contemporary Arabic poetry is mysticism, which has long had a special manifestation among Arabic-speaking poets, and they have composed beautiful and pleasant poems by utilizing pure mystical thoughts. Although in the contemporary period, the mystical teachings of past Sufi poets such as Ibn Arabi do not appear in the same way; however, since mysticism is intertwined with the soul and heart of the people of Iran and poetry is the best field for manifesting the emotions and inner thoughts of the poet, aspects of these pure thoughts can also be observed in the poems of this period. Badr Shakir al-Sayyab is among the innovative and famous poets of contemporary Arabic literature, and wisdom and mystical themes form part of the pure themes of his collection of poems; Sayyab, by utilizing mystical concepts such as death and annihilation, abstraction, unity of existence, the creation of being, the issue of love, and the way of looking at God, has breathed new life and soul into his poems. In this essay, the author uses a descriptive-analytical method to process data based on the components of mysticism in the poetry of Badr Shakir al-Sayyab.

Badr Shakir al-Sayyab is considered one of the prominent poets of the contemporary era who is a famous poet in the field of Sufism and mysticism; concepts such as unity of existence, divine pleasure, abstraction, death, annihilation (fana), nothingness in the divine way, and love for the Essence of Oneness have been repeated with high frequency in Sayyab's poetry.
In the present research, using a descriptive-analytical method, we will proceed to analyze pure mystical concepts such as unity of existence, abstraction, mystical martyrdom, annihilation and subsistence (fana and baqa), death, and mystical companionship with the night in the collection of poems of Badr Shakir al-Sayyab, the pioneer of innovative Arabic poetry.
In the poem "Shuhada al-Hurriyah" (Martyrs of Freedom), Sayyab holds a mystical view regarding the issue of martyrdom; he considers martyrdom to be like a manifest victory from God. In Badr Shakir Sayyab's view, martyrdom is not the destruction of existence, but rather flying towards one's supreme objective: {refer to the attached table file} Translation: (Death embraced him, so existence held a mourning for glory and greatness, and the east and west of the earth were clad in black.
