چکیده:
One of the most numerous passages in Sahifa Sajjadiya relates to repentance, turning to God, and seeking forgiveness for sins that are not only incompatible with the status of infallibility of Imam Sajjad (peace be upon him) but are also unsuitable for ordinary humans. This writing seeks to propose and examine some solutions to the aforementioned conflict. Accordingly, in explaining the conflict that has arisen between the infallibility of the Imam and the confession of sins in the supplications, the relevant passages are divided into two categories: Category one: Some passages, due to their themes, should not be attributed to the Infallible (AS); it seems that the prayer of the Infallible and his confession of sin in these cases relates to the existential levels of the Infallible (AS) rather than to His special sanctified station; Category two: Supplications in which the type of confession of sins does not conflict with the infallibility of the saints because the conventional meaning of sin is not considered in them; rather, even the slightest turning away from God and preoccupation with anything other than Allah—and not the type of turning away and preoccupation with others that exists more or less among other humans—is considered by the Infallible, in relation to Divine Majesty, as impoliteness and an unforgivable sin, and ultimately, any utterance is as if it were standing tall against Allah the Almighty, for which the Imam (AS) seeks forgiveness.

ir Abstract One of the most numerous passages in Sahifa Sajjadiyya pertains to repentance, turning to God (inabah), and seeking forgiveness (istighfar) for sins that are not only incompatible with the station of infallibility (Ismah) of Imam Sajjad (peace be upon him) but are also unsuitable for ordinary humans.
Accordingly, in explaining the conflict between the Imam's infallibility and the confession of sins in the supplications, the relevant passages are divided into two categories: First category: Some passages, due to their contents, should not be attributed to the Infallible (AS); it seems that the prayer of the Infallible and his confession of sin in these cases is related to other humans as existential levels of the Infallible (AS), rather than to His special station; Second category: Supplications in which the type of confession of sins does not conflict with the infallibility of the saints (Awliya), because the conventional meaning of sin is not considered in them; rather, even the slightest turning away from God and preoccupation with anything other than Allah—and not even that type of turning away and preoccupation with others that exists more or less among other humans—is considered by the Infallible as impertinence and an unforgivable sin in the presence of Divine Glory (Ezzat-e Roboubi), and ultimately, any utterance is considered as if one were standing tall against Allah the Exalted, for which the Imam (AS) seeks forgiveness.
