چکیده:
Throughout history, political and social actors, religious currents, and religious scholars have always strived with various motivations to create unity and approximation between Islamic sects, and in some periods, they have pursued projects that can be considered among the most important, such as the movement of Nadir Shah and Sayyid Jamal al-Din al-Afghani, and the establishment of 'Dar al-Taqrib' and the 'World Assembly for Approximating Islamic Schools of Thought.' Approximation projects have always faced pathologies, including: ambiguity in goals and meaning, and management and structural challenges, or have suffered from the lack of a clear theory. They have also paid less attention to epistemological issues and religious differences, which are the fundamental points of division. These pathologies, along with obstacles such as the lack of coordination among political elements or foreign interference, and the existence of extremist and radical currents, have worked together to make approximation projects and Islamic solidarities unsuccessful. Therefore, a new plan with a comprehensive approach must be sought that can overcome these challenges and pathologies.
