چکیده:
The present research was conducted with the aim of investigating the relationship between moral virtues and the educational status of students in the first stage of secondary school, ninth grade, in Khorramabad County. The statistical population of this research included all middle school students in Khorramabad County, from whom 350 people (175 boys and 175 girls) were selected based on Morgan's table using a multi-stage cluster sampling method, and they completed the Moral Growth questionnaire by Maanavipour (2012) and the Moral Behavior questionnaire by Swanson and Hill (1993). The educational status of the students was also measured based on their semester GPA. Then, using correlation regression statistical analysis, the findings showed that there is a positive correlation between moral virtues and the educational status of students; however, there is no significant correlation between moral growth and educational status. Additionally, educational status was not a good predictor for the moral behavior of students. Therefore, it is necessary to pay attention to the teaching of moral virtues and their growth in adolescents so that its consequences in the field of educational progress become apparent. One should not rely solely on the factor of education for moral growth; rather, other influential factors on moral growth should also be studied alongside educational status.
