چکیده:
The central question of this article is whether a spiritual guide (specific and general) is necessary in the mystical journey. This paper addresses the question using a fundamental, exploratory, and analytical descriptive method, particularly from the perspective of comprehensive jurisprudence (fiqh akbar, awsat, and asghar), especially fiqh akbar (wisdom and mysticism). The theory of the absolute need for a spiritual guide (a necessity that is conditional upon specific scientific and practical qualities in the knowledge of ethics and mysticism) and a combined method (rational and narrative) is presented. After examining the views of Imam Khomeini and Allameh Tabatabai as proponents of the existence of a spiritual guide, as well as the opinions of Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi as a representative of conditional approval of this idea, it becomes clear that the need for a spiritual guide and a spiritual teacher is recognized in all stages of the inner journey, spiritual ranks, and unseen revelations. Specific scientific and spiritual components and conditions for the spiritual guide, such as ijtihad in the three mentioned jurisprudences, are essential. Additionally, scholars from the realms of mysticism and traditional jurisprudence agree on the necessity of a spiritual guide and the conditions and restrictions that accompany this role.
