Introduction Examining the factors and motives of the extensive and overt Western aggression against the sanctities of Islam, including the Holy Prophet (PBUH), during those days when the book "The Satanic Verses" was published by Salman Rushdie, and those days when the founder of the Revolution, that mujahid jurist Ayatollah Imam Khomeini (RA), issued that historic fatwa; and following those days, in recent years, when the tragic incident in Denmark regarding the insult to the Prophet of Islam (PBUH) and the clear religion of Islam occurred, all of these indicate the onslaught of Western ideas in our society and the tendency of a small group of youth due to weakness in religious studies and lack of knowledge of the foundations of the life-giving school of Islam.
In the Islamic Penal Code, a chapter titled "Insulting Religious Sanctities" has been presented, in accordance with Article 315 of the IPC: "Whoever insults the sanctities of Islam or any of the Great Prophets, the Pure Imams (AS), or Lady Khadija al-Tahira (SA), if they fall under the ruling of Sabb al-Nabi, shall be executed, and otherwise, shall be sentenced to imprisonment for 1 to 5 years," where the most prominent instance of this crime is the crime of Sabb al-Nabi.
