This article contains the characteristics of 88 books from the works of Sunni scholars, all or part of which are about Imam Mahdi (peace be upon him). The author has presented the article based on information provided by Dr. Adab Mahmoud Hamish (a contemporary Sunni scholar) in the book 'Al-Mahdi al-Muntazar: Dirasah Hadithiyyah Naqdiyyah', and has organized the data according to the contents of Sayyid Abdulaziz Tabataba'i in his two discourses—which appeared in Safinah numbers 10 and 11. Part of the collection of materials in this article, which is divided into five sections, refers to entries mentioned by researcher Tabataba'i, while another part consists of entries being introduced for the first time.

Al-Qawl al-Mukhtasar fi 'Alamat al-Mahdi al-Muntazar (Ibn Hajar al-Haytami) Abd al-Rahman bin Abdullah Turki undertook its research, hadith extraction (takhrij), commentary, and introduction, and Dar al-Zahra' lil-I'lam al-Arabi in Cairo published its first edition in the year 1315.
Then, the author mentions the names of scholars who have explicitly stated the mutawatir nature of the hadiths of the Mahdi; such as: Abu al-Hasan al-Abri, al-Sakhawi, al-Suyuti, al-Haytami, al-Zarqani, al-Qannuji, and al-Shawkani.
Al-Ahadith al-Waridah fi al-Mahdi fi Mizan al-Jarh wa al-Ta'dil (Dr. Abdul Alim Abdul Azim Bastawi al-Hindi) The origin of this book is the author's thesis at Umm al-Qura University in Mecca, in the year 1398, which has been published in two volumes (432 + 415 pages).
Al-Ihtijaj bi al-Athar 'ala man Ankar al-Mahdi al-Muntazar (Sheikh Hamoud bin Abdullah Tuwaijri) The first edition of this book was published by the General Presidency of Scientific Research and Ifta in the year 1403 AH in 423 pages.
