چکیده:
In this article, by examining the term 'Tablet of Erasure and Affirmation' in narrative and interpretive sources, it has been concluded that this term is a newly emerged concept that not only lacks any Quranic or narrative origin, but based on authentic narrations, it is Umm al-Kitab, also known as the Preserved Tablet (Lawh Mahfuz), which is the vessel where erasure and affirmation occur. The qualifier 'Preserved' (Mahfuz), according to the testimony of Quranic verses, does not mean immunity from change, but rather means immunity from the observation and sight of unauthorized individuals at the Divine Threshold. With the obtained result, the famous perspective held among Islamic thinkers regarding the Tablet of Erasure and Affirmation undergoes a fundamental change, and through this path, the Preserved Tablet also receives a new interpretation.

Another matter that stands out alongside the discussion of Bada in Shiite sources is the erasure and affirmation (Mahw wa Ithbat) which, based on the verse "يمحوا الله ما يشاء و يثبت و عنده ام الكتاب" (Ra'd/ 19), the Almighty God has been identified as its actor.
«It has been narrated from Muhammad bin Muslim that I asked Imam Baqir (as) about Laylat al-Qadr, and he said: During the Night of Decree, the angels and the scribes of deeds descend, and they write what will occur of the matters of the year and what will befall the servants; and a matter remains with Him, subject to His will, whereby He brings forward what He wills and sends back what He wills—and He erases and affirms, and with Him is the Mother of the Book (Umm al-Kitab).
