چکیده:
In the field of social sciences, scientific studies have been regarded as synonymous with a kind of hidden materialism, and it is assumed that scientific investigations are accompanied by a type of materialism. However, the emergence and expansion of the post-materialism or supra-materialism school of thought shows that this is not the case. In this article, an attempt will be made to explain the intellectual and scientific foundations of supra-materialism, particularly emphasizing the scientific findings of Ronald Inglehart, and to examine the impact of this perspective on the understanding of the concept of politics and the process of globalization. It also examines how changes in the environment and the foundations of values prevailing in post-industrial societies have caused transformations in the foundation of politics, political demands, and the relationship between the state and citizens, or how different attitudes and tendencies toward the process of globalization have manifested. In this article, while explaining this transformation and various perspectives in these areas, the fundamental impact of post-materialism on political science will be examined. Due to the theoretical nature of this article, quantitative methods have not been used. However, an attempt has been made to examine the relationship between two main variables: the emergence of post-materialism and the various fissures in political science. Finally, some of the issue-based tendencies and preferences in Iranian society and university education in political science in Iran will be studied.
خلاصه ماشینی:
It will also investigate how changes in the environment and the foundations of values prevailing in post-industrial societies have caused transformations in the foundation of politics, political demands, and the relationship between the state and the citizen, or how they have manifested different attitudes and tendencies toward the process of globalization.
From this perspective, new attitudes gradually emerged in understanding politics and the general rules governing human social life, which sought to consider the role of ideas, rationality, and intellectual systems in addition to undeniable material factors, and to study society and politics from this viewpoint.
The economic transformation from production-oriented economies toward service-oriented economies, public access to new information and communication technologies, increased levels of education, the expansion of mass media, networks and media, the reduction in the number of widespread wars, and increased global mobility have influenced the spread of post-material values and changed the outlook of people and elites regarding the realm of politics, as well as increasing the political skills of the people, causing a normative change in post-industrial societies.
In Inglehart's view, the new political and economic life of humans after World War II transformed rapidly and reached a new stage where mankind, alongside its great and amazing progress in the fields of industry and economy, realized that a significant part of his life is shaped within semantic systems and from this for certain cultural values and semantic needs, found greater importance for him than pure material needs.
