Development is a process in which a society moves from one period to a new period. This process can transform various dimensions of human life. Economic development means economic growth and the change of values and institutions, and requires specific social behaviors that depend on the culture and cultural characteristics of a nation. In Mamasani County, based on the existing social structure founded on traditional and tribal identifiers, economic development has a meaningful connection with political culture, which is rooted in geographical identity and the inter-mental constructs of agents. The foundations of Mamasani's economy are based on markets and agriculture, and the transition to economic development has a direct relationship with the existing cultural conditions. Any fluctuation in its economic foundations, such as the formation of spiderweb-like conditions, can be analyzed based on the existing political culture. The present research has an applied nature, and the main question is: what relationship exists between political culture and economic development in Mamasani County? The research hypothesis is also that there is a significant relationship between the two variables of political culture and economic development, and tribal political culture plays a key role in the economic underdevelopment of Mamasani County; in other words, the results of the research indicate that due to the existence of a limited-participatory and tribal political culture, the risk-taking of the economy, and the unfavorable performance of agents in Mamasani, economic underdevelopment is related to political culture. The research method in this study is descriptive-analytical and utilizes library resources.
