چکیده:
Imam Hassan al-Mujtaba (AS) is considered by all Muslims to be one of the manifestations of the Verse of Purification and one of the Ahl al-Bayt of the Holy Prophet. Throughout his life, he faced various difficulties, one of which was Muawiyah, who stood in opposition to him. After the martyrdom of Imam Ali (AS), Muawiyah, seeing Imam Hassan (AS) as a major obstacle to his plans and seeking to pave the way for his son's caliphate, attempted to eliminate him, eventually leading to his martyrdom. The event of Imam Mujtaba's (AS) martyrdom via poison prepared by Muawiyah is an issue that Sunni scholars have extensively addressed and narrated; however, some have denied it or raised doubts to exonerate Muawiyah from this crime, which this writing aims to examine.
خلاصه ماشینی:
3 Ibn Kathir also, without providing any evidence, merely addressed the denial of this occurrence and wrote: Some have narrated that Yazid ibn Muawiyah instructed Ja'dah, the wife of Imam al-Mujtaba, that if she poisoned him, he would marry her.
It is worth mentioning that although Al-Dhahabi attempted to deny this crime in the book Tarikh al-Islam, in the book Siyar A'lam al-Nubala, quoting al-Waqidi, he explicitly states that the martyrdom of Imam Hassan7 occurred through the conspiracy of Muawiyah and writes: «وقد سمعت بعض من یقول:کَانَ مُعَاوِیَةُ قَدْ تَلَطَّفَ لِبَعضِ خَدَمِهِ أَنْ یَسْقِیَهُ سُمّاً» (Ibid, Siyar A'lam al-Nubala, vol.
Criticism and Review With a cursory glance at some books of Sira and histories, one can easily arrive at Muawiyah's direct role in this; as a group of Sunni scholars and thinkers have explicitly stated that Muawiyah prepared a poison and sent it to Ja'dah, the Imam's wife, and promised her that if she brought the Imam to martyrdom, in addition to the money he would give her, he would marry her to Ibn Kathir, Ismail, Al-Bidayah wa al-Nihayah, vol.
In view of the signed covenant, Imam Mujtaba7 was the greatest obstacle in the way of Yazid's succession; because it has been said: "Muawiyah at that time Ibn Arabi, Muhammad ibn Abdullah, previously, pp.
668 AH) also writes, explicitly mentioning this matter in the history of al-Tabari: It is stated in the history of al-Tabari that Hasan ibn Ali passed away due to poisoning during the time of Muawiyah.
