The present writing examines the status of trade in Khorasan and Transoxiana during the Timurid era, which is one of the constituent elements of the Timurid economy. In this writing, relying on data available in sources and with a descriptive-analytical approach, the trade situation of the region, from the emergence of Timur to the end of the reign of Baysunghur, has been investigated. The article addresses the fundamental question: what was the status of trade in Khorasan and Transoxiana during the Timurid period? In this writing, it has been shown that attention to the category of trade in the view of the Timurid emirs, the specific geographical position of these two important regions, the diversity of goods, and also the growth of several major cities in these regions, are a set of factors affecting the prosperity of trade in Khorasan and Transoxiana. Trade in the aforementioned regions, relying on the above factors and also being subject to the economic policies of the Timurid emirs, became dynamic. Therefore, we are faced with a relative prosperity in the components constituting the region's trade during the Timurid period.
