چکیده:
After the Holy Prophet and some of his companions, people like Tirmidhi, Abu Bakr Qafal and Sheikh Ṣadūq were among those who paid attention to the purpose of Sharia and this thought went through ups and downs after these people. In the contemporary era, Ibn Ashur is one of the commentators who paid great attention to this important issue in his Qur'anic commentary. Ibn Ashur started writing this commentary in pursuit of a kind of scientific revival, religious renewal and liberation of the nation from stagnation based on accepted religious and intellectual methods and through reforming beliefs, thought and action while respecting the acceptable achievements of the predecessors. This article, with a descriptive-analytical method, investigated the historical course of the purposes of the Sharia and sought to discover some important interpretative achievements of the thought of the purposes by emphasizing the view of Ibn Ashur and found that his firm belief in the application of the knowledge of the purposes of the Sharia led to the creation of a link between The purposes and divine verses of the Holy Qur'an became clear, and finally, after about four decades of efforts, a commentary of the divine book was established that could show this convergence and add significant achievements to the knowledge of interpretation.

The Historical Course of Maqasid al-Shari'ah and its Interpretive Achievements with Emphasis on Ibn Ashur's Perspective 1 Mohsen Qasempour Ravandi Keymorth Behzadian 2 Date of Receipt: 1402/01/02 Date of Acceptance: 1402/04/18, pages 112 to 135 (Research Article) Abstract Maqasidi interpretation is an interpretation that aims to explain the objectives (Maqasid) of the Quran for which laws were legislated, and also to uncover the meanings of words, in the sense of expanding connotations while observing other rules of interpretation.
Ibn Ashur, in the book Maqasid al-Shari'ah, has divided Maqasid into two parts, general and specific: A) General Maqasid of the Shari'ah: He considers them to be the meanings and wisdoms taken into account by the Legislator in all or most states of the Shari'ah in such a way that they are not restricted to a specific type of rulings, in which the general characteristics of the Shari'ah and its general objectives are included; such as: sincerity in the worship of God Almighty, removal of hardship, prohibition of corruption and mischief, justice, freedom, etc.
). The general goal of the science of Maqasid from Ibn Ashur's perspective is to raise awareness regarding the interpretation of texts, the evidence of rulings, and reasoning upon them, so that accordingly, the faqih can realize that specific purpose of legislation during jurisprudential differences, and these differences may be eliminated or minimized (al-Youbi, 1998, 35.
11) Definition of Maqasidi Interpretation The Holy Quran is considered the first source of legislation in understanding the Maqasid of Islamic Shari'ah; because Almighty God revealed the Quran to realize the interests of people's worldly and otherworldly lives.
