چکیده:
Feminist epistemology is the result of analyzing the involvement of the element of 'gender' in the process of knowledge. The doctrines governing structuralism, post-structuralism, and postmodernism have provided the context and inspiration for feminists in coordinating the principles of feminist epistemology. This writing, after answering the question of what effect gender has on knowledge in feminist epistemology, examines and critiques feminist epistemological theories by relying on the epistemological foundations of Islamic philosophy. The negative and critical approach, and the positive and affirmative approach, are the two existing approaches in feminist epistemology. In the negative approach, feminists argued for the influence of male perspectives and interests in current sciences and the masculinity of knowledge, and the necessity of producing female science; in the positive part of feminist epistemology, the epistemological principles governing female science were explained by feminists. After stating these two approaches, the present research, using a descriptive method, stated the problems of feminist science and the predicament of feminist epistemology in the swamp of relativism. Then, relativism, which is the basis of feminist epistemology, was criticized using the approach of Islamic philosophy. The existence of axioms and the self-evidence of their recognition, the denial of the materiality of science, and the proof of its abstraction shatter the foundation of relativism; consequently, the influence of the knowing subject in the process of knowledge—not as a creator of knowledge but as a distinct window to truth that complements other epistemological horizons—expresses the role of gender in knowledge. According to this analysis, although gender can open new horizons before science, these horizons will not be contradictory and opposing. This result will be a nullification of the claim and ideal of feminist epistemology regarding the masculinity of knowledge and the formulation of female science.

The existence of axioms and the self-evidence of their recognition, the negation of the materiality of science, and the proof of its abstraction, break the foundation of relativism; consequently, the influence of the knowing subject in the process of knowledge, not as a creator of knowledge but as a distinct window to truth that complements other epistemological horizons, expresses the role of gender in knowledge.
Knowledge, gender, feminism, epistemology, relativism Introduction The issue of the relationship between knowledge and gender and the influence of gender on knowledge intensified with the emergence of feminist radicalism doctrines in the second wave, and with the expansion of postmodernism and the utilization of the views of postmodern and post-structuralist philosophers, it acquired the necessary elements for theorization.
In the next step, after discovering the principles governing feminist epistemology and answering the aforementioned question regarding the relationship between gender and knowledge from the perspective of feminism, the foundations and doctrines of feminist epistemology will be critiqued and examined using the approach of Islamic philosophy and epistemology.
461) Therefore, the issue of knowledge and gender is addressed by feminists from two aspects and with two approaches: First; the negative and critical approach, through which feminism attempts to unveil the masculine nature of the history of Western science and philosophy by deconstructing it, thereby paving the way for the liberation of women.
205) Feminists often take a position against epistemological individualism and, under the influence of the theory of sociology of knowledge, consider the creation of cognition to be a social and collective activity and regard the knower of science as the scientific community rather than the individual scientist.
