چکیده:
One of the most important Qur'anic concepts is the word 'Shafa'at', which attracts the attention and contemplation of every Qur'anic thinker. All efforts of lexicographers, commentators, theologians, and scholars have been to explain some of its semantic layers, while all its components and semantic layers have not been examined with a semantic approach. In the Holy Qur'an, this word is understood by forming an extensive semantic network in connection with other key words such as nusrat (help), wilayat (guardianship), etc., many of whose semantic components must be sought in higher layers. This research, using the descriptive-analytical synchronic semantic method, aims to explain the meaning of 'Shafa'at' and extract its semantic components from the Holy Qur'an. An examination of the verses in which the word 'Shafa'at' is used and related verses shows that in Qur'anic usage, this word is situated in a semantic field centered on succession, with the concept of nusrat and wilayat; centered on coexistence with concepts such as nusrat, confirmation, salvation, and fadl (grace); and centered on opposition to the concepts of lan'at (curse), loss of deeds, and severe punishment in this world and the hereafter. Discovering the semantic components of 'Shafa'at' leads to a greater manifestation of pure Qur'anic teachings for truth-seeking servants, avoids superficial and selective interpretations of the verses of the Holy Qur'an, and demonstrates the specific and systematic worldview of the Holy Qur'an.
خلاصه ماشینی:
Examining the verses in which the word "Shafa'at" is used, along with related verses, shows that in Quranic usage, this word is situated in a semantic field on the axis of substitution, with the concepts of nusrat (aid) and wilayah (guardianship); on the axis of coexistence with concepts such as nusrat, support, salvation, and fadl (grace); and on the axis of opposition to the concepts of lan (curse), nullification of deeds, and severe punishment in this world and the hereafter.
Some of these changes, which can be of interest to past scholars and today's linguists and are related to the discussion of "shafa'at" and "nusrat," are as follows: In the epistemological system of the Quran and its specific worldview, which is presented through its words and phrases, "shafa'at" (intercession) has also undergone semantic expansion and has come to include leadership intercession, ontological intercession (intermediary of grace), and intercession of forgiveness (the principle of salvation in religions).
Another important point obtained from the semantics of the Quranic verses and the interconnected network of its concepts is that the collective process defined by God in the system of creation and established as one of the divine laws (sunan) is the nusrat of believers in specific circumstances, a specific type of which is called "shafa'at," and the calling upon believers and the guidance provided to believers in this regard by Almighty God is called "tawassul"; meaning, shafa'at and tawassul are two sides of the same coin, each depicting one side of that truth flowing in the system of existence.
