___________________________ [1] - Queer Families [2] - Prineston [3] - Masachoset The Decline of the Family, a Political Response and a Religious Reaction It is now evident that the current state of the family in the West, namely the large and increasing number of divorced and single-parent families, entails significant social and economic costs for society.
The consequences of the existence of such families for society include: 1)- A dramatic increase in the number of illegitimate children; 2)- A dramatic increase in psychotic issues among children and single parents; 3)- An increased risk of violence and child abuse; 4)- An increase in problems related to the physical health of children and single parents; 5)- An increase in academic and educational impairments; such as learning difficulties, high dropout rates, and the growth of negative attitudes toward oneself and others, which jeopardizes children's learning and their success in participating in modern life.
1) These consequences impose a heavy economic and social burden on the state; therefore, at least in the coming decades, due to the increase in divorce, the number of illegitimate children, and couples living together without marriage, as well as childhood traumas, juvenile delinquency, and the resulting diseases, there will also be significant growth.
