چکیده:
In this research, which is carried out with a quality study and an analytical approach, at first, prudence is briefly touched upon and then with an analysis of the most evident example of prudence in Sūrat al-Yūsif (A.S.), i.e., the incidence of embedding the king’s cup in Benjamin’s load and conforming legal criteria to it, while responding to peripheral misconceptions, new findings have been achieved; firstly, the most important congestion (tazāḥum) in this incidence – which is misconceived by most interpreters – is specified. Secondly, by applying the components involved in this incidence, including accusing Benjamin of theft to the criteria of moral action, the misconception of moral blameworthiness and using immoral means in this prudence is rejected. Thirdly, four strategies for discernment of prudence have been enumerated and then by applying systemic thinking to the management of the incidence, the comprehensive systemic outlook as Yūsif’s (A.S.) macro-strategy in discernment of prudence has been introduced.

Expediency in the Managerial Biography of Joseph * Mahmoud Khooran 1 Abstract: This research, which has been compiled using a qualitative study method and an analytical-attitudinal approach, after a brief mention of preliminaries regarding expediency, has reached new findings by analyzing the most prominent example of expediency in Surah Yusuf, namely the incident of planting the special vessel in Benjamin's load and applying fundamental principles to it, while responding to surrounding doubts.
They had also sworn an oath before their father to ensure Benjamin's safety and had entrusted him to God. However, the second view, meaning the mere staying of Benjamin in Egypt and his proximity to his brother Joseph and the provision of more favorable conditions for him, also cannot be considered a conflict of priorities (Mutazahim al-Ahamm); because this matter in itself cannot take precedence over the accusation of theft against Benjamin and justify it.
Given this description, if the accusation of theft was made against Benjamin by Joseph's official representative and under his command (meaning the accusation is considered an inevitable result of Joseph's plan), according to a narration from Imam Sadiq, was based on expediency and with the intention of reform; (Kulayni, 1369, Vol. 2: p.
The second point is that by applying the dimensions and components of this matter, including the issue of the theft accusation against Benjamin, with the criteria of moral action, it becomes clear that this expediency was morally praiseworthy, and the doubt regarding the use of an immoral means to achieve the goal of this expediency is rejected.
