چکیده:
From ancient times, many archaeological artifacts have existed throughout our ancient country, and these artifacts are the identity of our land's glorious past. In this research, the remains from ancient times in the Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad region have been addressed. First, the origin of this region for the Achaemenids, as well as the passage of Alexander the Great through it and the fierce defense of the local people against Alexander, are described. The most valuable archaeological artifact of the region from the Parthian era has been introduced in Tang-e Sarvak or Solak, and the location of the ancient city of Ziz—which was mentioned in Ibn al-Balkhi's Farsnameh—has also been identified. The remains of Ismaili artifacts in the town of Choram and Safavid era artifacts in the city of Dehdasht, and the status of this city as a capital during the Safavid era by false claimants to the throne, have been researched. The emergence of the false Ismail Mirza and the false Safi Mirza in the city of Dehdasht and their temporary kingship in this city have also been investigated with evidence.

Ancient remains in the Kohgiluyeh region Ziz: One of the ancient cities in Iran that ancient geographical books such as Ahsan al-Taqasim by al-Maqdisi and Fars-nameh by Ibn al-Blkhi have mentioned as a prosperous and memorable city, is the ancient city of Ziz. The oldest existing source on this matter is the Fars-nameh of Ibn al- Blakhi, which was written in the fifth century.
2-According to the explicit statement of al-Maqdisi in Ahsan al-Taqasim, the city of Ziz is the third stop between Arjan and Semirom; considering the mountainous nature of the region, it cannot be said that the stop is located after Dehdasht at a distance of 60 to 70 km from Dehdasht, because caravans could not travel such a long and mountainous route in a single day.
The historical city of Ziz, which is mentioned in Ibn al-Balkhi's Farsnameh, is also located in the Sarfaryab region of Kohgiluyeh.
